The Wisdom of James Allen II is the second volume in a projected 6-volume set of The Complete Works of James Allen published by Laurel Creek Press. (The first volume in this series is titled: The Wisdom of James Allen: 5 Classic Works including, As a Man Thinketh, The Path to Prosperity, The Mastery of Destiny, The Way of Peace, & Entering the Kingdom ISBN: 1-889606-00-6 $9.95) Each Wisdom of James Allen volume in the Laurel Creek James Allen Wisdom series groups 3 to 5 of James Allen's short works into one book. Edited for contemporary readers by Andy Zubko (compiler and editor of The Treasury of Spiritual Wisdom), the works contained in each volume are complete and unabridged. For clarity, Zubko's editing features dividing each chapter into subcategories, and rendering obscure or archaic words, phrases, and punctuation into modern usage. James Allen often used the generic masculine, as was the common practice of his time. This was retained in order to remain true to his voice.
The next volume in this series, The Wisdom of James Allen III, contains 4 more Classic Works, including: Out from the Heart, Byways of Blessedness, From Passion to Peace, and The Heavenly Life. Volume 3 will be available by Spring 2003.
