Book Description
This book introduces optics in anisotropic magnetic multilayers and nanostructures. It presents concepts of magnetooptics in media and practical applications, such as magnetic domain observations using magnetic microscopy. The author analyzes the simultaneous effect of crystalline symmetry and arbitrarily oriented magnetization on permittivity tensors. He also discusses multilayers at polar magnetization with applications at longitudinal and transverse orientations of the magnetization vector. Other discussions address normal incidence on multilayers with arbitrarily oriented magnetizations and general anisotropics in individual layers.
