Nonparametric Statistical Methods For Complete and Censored Data
Editorial Reviews
Review
[This book] has several strengths … One is its level of presentation. Neither overly simplistic in explanation nor overly burdened with distracting proofs, the book accomplishes the rare feat of coherently representing some complex issues in nonparametric analysis. … An additional strength is the ease with which the book can be used as a text-book for a graduate level nonparametric statistics class.

Book Description
Balancing the "cookbook" approach of some texts with the mathematical approach of others, this book introduces and develops some of the commonly used techniques of nonparametric statistics that are particularly important in biostatistics and the social sciences. The presentation is organized in relation to one, two, and multi-sample problems and includes discussions on correlation and regression methods and clinical equivalence with binary data. To make the material more accessible and practical, the authors use SAS programs to illustrate the various methods included. Derivations and mathematical detail are relegated to appendices at the end of each chapter. To help with problem solving, SAS code is presented both within the book and on the Internet.
